Wow, we’ve had a fantastic fall here at Maple Tree Montessori!
We thoroughly cherish the start of each and every school year and the opportunity it brings to work with your children on a daily basis. Our staff also enjoy returning to the community we all share with students, parents, and families through events like our Potbelly Fundraiser and the Thanksgiving Feast!
As well as being a part of the Maple Tree community, our staff enjoy being members of the wider Montessori, Child Care & Education communities. In November alone, we had staff attending the Michigan Montessori Fall Workshop on the 4th, Ms. Sue and Ms. Julie presented at the 27th Annual Community Sharing for Healthy Caring Regional Early Childhood Conference on the 11th, and we have finalized a date and agenda for Exploring Montessori which we host in partnership with Child Connect for Family Success to provide information and professional development opportunities to Montessorians and other early childhood professionals.
This year’s workshop will be on April 14th and feature a keynote session “Peace and Education” by Anita B. Adhikary as well as breakout sessions involving Yoga, Montessori Math, and Montessori Language. We’ll provide more information when registration is open and parents and prospective parents are welcome to attend! We look forward to hosting this event and the opportunity to share our knowledge to help provide better outcomes for all children.
Finally, we’ve been working behind the scenes and are happy to announce our new Montessori Toddler Program! We will be taking 16 to 36 month olds into our Toddler Program tentatively beginning in February 2018. We are opening enrollment to siblings first, please ask if you are interested and haven’t received information yet or contact us here for more information. We look forward to opening our programs to this age group and taking part in your Toddlers’ care and education. More information will be posted soon.
We hope the rest of the school year is as productive as it’s been so far!
