What is the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)?
The Great Start Readiness Program is Michigan’s state-funded preschool initiative, designed to help four-year-old children prepare for kindergarten. GSRP prioritizes children who may qualify based on income or other eligibility factors, providing them with free access to high-quality early education. This program focuses on promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development—setting children on the path to long-term academic and personal success.
